An abundance of food made huge populations possible. The lands of hunters were largely overrun and managed by states or individuals, much of it turned into farmland worked by machines. The enjoyment of space and lack of crowds exists in state parks or the private property of a few. Developing technology is accompanied by a belief in material and economic progress. Progress and science encourage a belief in suspended judgment. The belief in magic has declined and political decisions through mysticism are in disrepute. Diversity has become the norm. Commerce requires social order, and with manufacturing, trade and commerce, tolerance has become an economic necessity, which has given rise to classical liberalism. Integration is economically beneficial, and it is chosen over separation and isolation. Democracy and the rule of law have become the accepted norm. The United Nations and a concept of "rogue state" appear.
