Kaiser Wilhelm II

see title

As a young man born to royalty he like to posture. He was vain but also a devoted Lutheran. He wanted to avoid a war in Europe and angrily declared that had his grandmother, Britain's Queen Victoria, been alive she would have been able to prevent the war. During the war the Allied press depicted him as a monster. Many in Britain and the U.S. saw him as the one person responsible for the war.
